Public Art for NYC DOT
In April 2025, I had the honor of illustrating the Art Stop Letters for the NYC Department of Transportation’s Car-Free Earth Day event. This annual open streets event extends throughout the boroughs and these NYC letters were displayed in Times Square. It was really fun to see New Yorkers, visitors, and tourists (plus Elmos, Marios, and Spidermen) of all ages taking photos with the artwork. I was one of several artists with work on display during this event—you can read more about it here on the DOT’s website.
My illustration depicts a car-free utopia that already exists in NYC’s public parks and features native plants alongside various forms of public and eco-friendly transit.
